Baymax is a fictional character first appearing in the 2014 Disney animated movie, Big Hero 6. He is a personal healthcare companion robot created by Tadashi Hamada.
Baymax's primary function is to provide medical assistance and care. His inflatable, soft robotic design is intended to be non-threatening and approachable. He is programmed with a vast database of medical knowledge and can scan individuals to diagnose and treat a wide range of ailments.
